A Qualitative Analysis of Organisational Commitment in an Algerian Pharmaceutical Industry

Quiet quitting, bullshit jobs , the great resignation are recurrent words referring to disturbances increasingly observed in work life and new concepts characterizing job market. They mainly indicate evolution of perception, deterioration relations, a quest for meaning among employees. In this context, research attempts look closely into relationship between an organisation its employees through qualitative case study. This paper will first present literature review as thoroughly possible about concept organisational commitment from 1960s up now; also encompass main antecedents outcomes on performance. Then, following socio-economic approach management be conducted Algerian pharmaceutical industry grasp complexity concept. A series 38 semi-guided interviews is conducted, starting with CEO company including each Division Director Chief Department. The results allowed us identify several pivotal ideas that likely hinder commitment, size premises no longer fitted company, which deteriorates environment impedes performance; lack information communication growth such absence Human Resource Management control division; centralization decision making objectives contributes blurred role distribution; HRM practices characterized by limited career option flawed personnel appraisal process; finally, changes put at challenge because resistance change ERP, skills shortage, destruction, training dissonant communication.
